You’ll be surprised by the amount of things to do and see in Amsterdam. As a matter of fact it is considered one of the greatest smallest cities in the world. One of the main tourist attractions in Amsterdam are its world-famous museums. The city has over fifty of them, including the Van Gogh Museum, which attract millions of tourists every year, all year round. You will also find lots of trendy pubs, restaurants serving food from all over the world and an interesting and lively nightlife with entertainment for all group ages.

There is no bad time to visit Amsterdam, with cultural events and festivals held throughout the year. The peak of the tourist season is July and August, when the weather is the finest, but this is also when prices for flights and accommodation are at their highest.

Public transport is very efficient in Amsterdam however, given its size and the main attractions being reasonably close to one another, it is an excellent city to tour on foot or bike. Because of the city’s numerous canals, Amsterdam is also known by many as the Venice of the North, and for this reason a trip to this city is not complete without a boat trip.
