Fancy a walking holiday?
Whether you prefer highlands or lowlands, lakes or fells, forests or rolling meadows, there is scenery to suit all in the United Kingdom. With good rail and road links, or the option to fly internally if desired, nowhere is inaccessible.
Ordnance Survey maps are readily available for every inch of the UK meaning that it is easy to plot your walking routes in advance from the comfort of your home. Accommodation is plentiful all over the UK and available to suit every budget from luxury hotel to youth hostel. The walking holiday is really the least complicated holiday to take. All major bookshops such as Waterstones or WHSmith sell Ordnance Survey maps, or if you cannot find the one you need, try Amazon. The Internet has a wealth of information about accommodation, routes and features for different areas allowing you to make bookings and plan your route. Be well aware however that the most popular areas of the UK for example the Lake District get very busy and accommodation, even campsites gets booked up early in the year.
