  You will also need a credit card that has your name inscribed on it. If you are younger than 25, there are also some car-rental companies that provide services to folks like you. If you are a travelling minor, you might consider alternative modes of transport like a train or bus.
  Next, check your current insurance if there are restrictions on driving in foreign countries; you might find that you are not covered by your insurance, outside of your own state.
