Go to Germany, go camping
A cheaper and more convenient way to see more than just one part of a country, camping allows for flexible schedules and the opportunity to explore Germany. You can discover the popular tourist attractions of the Black Forest region, or stay on the banks of a river: choose from the Rhine, the Elbe or the Mosel. Germany has mountains, lakes and forests, all served by very nice campsites. You could follow the trail of the Brothers Grimm in the fairytale region of the Hesse or along the Romantic Road from the River Main all the way to the Alps. There are also campsites very close to the bigger cities such as Berlin and Munich. We like the official German tourism website for details of campsites suitable for both tents and motorhomes or campervans. They do advise that you book in advance of your stay as Germany is a popular destination for those travelling under their own steam.
