Malta holidays this summer

The capital city Valletta is a cosmopolitan and bustling place. As well as the usual fine dining and shopping that you would expect, it also plays host to many cultural attractions such as theatre, concerts and exhibitions.

There are plenty of museums to while away your time in – we recommend that you pay a visit to the War Museum at Fort St Elmo where every Sunday there is a re-enactment in full military costume, and to the Megalithic Temples – including Ggantija; the oldest freestanding temple in the world.

Being an island Malta also has a wide variety of watersports to take part in. You can go scuba diving, snorkelling, jet skiing or parascending. There is also plentiful opportunity to sail if you prefer. All these sports are available for beginners or those with more experience.

Of course, if it is a beach holiday that you are after for total relaxation, why not spend the day on one of the beautiful beaches with a book – partaking in a quick paddle if you get too hot.
