Switzerland Holidays Great Breaks in Winter or Summer

For those who haven’t considered a holiday to Switzerland, maybe it’s time to think again. There is a lot on offer and a lot to see. From the cities to the beautiful countryside, there is more to Switzerland than meets the eye.

If you are travelling to Switzerland in winter, there is a good chance that you are looking to do some skiing. Located close to the French Alps, Geneva is a great staring point if you want to travel around the Alps in some of the smaller ski resorts. We particularly recommend Zermatt, which offers travellers a traditional Swiss town offering the true Swiss mountain experience. The town itself is very beautiful most of which is pedestrianised allowing only sleighs and walkers. The skiing is also excellent.

Alternatively, if you are travelling during the summer months, the mountainous areas are a haven for walkers and mountain bikers who want to enjoy the beautiful countryside during the warmer months. However, Switzerland is not all countryside. The cities of Geneva and Zurich have a lot to offer and are well worth a trip.
