Thinking of visiting Shannon and need to check out flights?
Shannon can offer fabulous activities in spectacular landscapes ranging from the awesome Atlantic coastline and the meandering River Shannon to beautiful lakes, rivers and valleys. From hiking, golfing and angling to surfing, shopping, partying and pampering, Shannon has something for everyone. The airport at Shannon is the third largest in the Republic of Ireland after Dublin and Cork and is considered to be the gateway to the West of Ireland servicing flights to Europe, the USA and Canada. The airport is particularly useful for those based in or visiting Limerick and Ennis due to its location. Flight destinations from Shannon airport include Boston, London, New York, Lyon, Marseilles, Nanntes, Paris, Toulouse, Toronto, Newark, Zurich, Lanzarote, Palma de Mallorca, Faro, Vienna, Malaga and many of the UK airports. Aer Lingus flies regularly from London Heathrow to Shannon airport and is offering some amazing deals for flights in September, especially if you are able to be flexible with travel dates and travel midweek. We have found flights for as little as £4.99 each way towards the end of September with a few flights for £0! These prices do not include taxes and airport charges so if you book the £0 fare flights, you should still expect to pay out around £65 in taxes and charges in total for a return flight. Ryanair also flies from London to Shannon, this time from Gatwick airport. The best deal we can find on flights in September are for £40 each way inclusive of taxes.
