Voyaging to the Isle of Wight?
The best known ferry company crossing to the Isle of Wight is probably Red Funnel Ferries. The route is from Southampton to East Cowes and takes just fifty five minutes each way. The best prices we can find for this route are £22 for a flexible ticket (one way) or £19 each way if you qualify as a saver ie; child, student or senior citizen. Red Funnel still have some summer deals on their website with daytrips for up to seven people and a car from £32 or next day return from £34. If Portsmouth is more convenient for your departure, Wight Link Ferries runs routes to Fishbourne which takes forty minutes and from Lymington to Yarmouth which takes half an hour. They also run a FastCat service for foot passengers from Portsmouth to Ryde which takes just eighteen minutes. The FastCat costs just £7.10 each way on a week day, and the car ferries cost from £43.50 at peak times or £42.75 off peak. To find out more check out the Red Funnel and Wightlink websites.
